Pies are something that I have always seen in various TV series, you know when they show Family get-togethers and I have always been meaning to make them. It was not so long ago that I found out that tart and pie have almost the same recipe and with a perfect tart recipe I was sure that my pie would be perfect as well.
Made a batch of these tiny classic apple pie with a Christmasy Cinnamon flavor and since I made very little filling in caparison with the dough I added some pomegranate to it because why not. I honestly didn’t expect them to turn out this good in the very second attempt but they did, and you know if I can make it anyone can. Happy Baking!!!

Apple Pomegranate Pie Cups
A classic get together treat with a Sugary, fruity and cinnamony punch.
Ingredients
For Crust
- 1 cups Refined Flour
- 1/3 cups Icing Sugar
- 1/3 cups Unsalted Butter
- 5 ml Vanilla Extract
For Filling
- 50 gms Apple
- 20 gms Pomegranate
- 40 gms Sugar
- 5 gms Cinnamon Powder
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together butter, sugar, and refined flour along with water & vanilla extract and form a dough.
- Refrigerate it for about 10-15 mins, remove and roll.
- For the filling, In a pan add sugar, melt it. Add in chopped apples to it and mix well.
- Add in the cinnamon powder to the mixture and keep aside.
- Place the rolled dough on the cupcake mould, remove excess. Add in the apple filling and some pomegranate to it.NOTE : You can cover the entire top with rolled dough or use different braiding styles to cover it. ( I have used an alternative stitching type braiding).
- Bake the pie cups in a pre-heated oven at 150 degrees Celcius or 300 degrees Fahrenheit for 22-25 mins.
- Remove, cool, demould, and enjoy!!!
