It has started raining here in Pune and when it comes to a sweet treat, a super hot moist chocolate is a must. Whipped up a batch of the Ultimate eggless chocolate cake and trust me it is a must-try recipe.
Been meaning to make the simplest chocolate cake ever, well here it is. Added a layer of Nutella chantilly, kinda loving the chocolate-hazelnut combo a lot lately. Also, a touch of coffee to chocolatey treat is kinda my special touch, try it out, Happy Baking !!!
Eggless Chocolate Cake
A simple, moist and soft Chocolate cake layered with Nutella chantilly and choco chips
Ingredients
For Cake
- 60 gms Unsalted Butter (1/2 cup)
- 60 gms Icing sugar (1/2 cup)
- 25 gms Cocoa Powder (1/4th cup)
- 125 gms Refined Flour (1 cup)
- 60 gms Milk powder (1/2 cup)
- 14 gm Nutella (1 tbsp)
- 3 ml Coffee decoction (2/3rd tsp)
- 4 gm Baking powder (1 tsp)
- 1 gm Baking soda (1/4th tsp)
- 125 ml Milk (2/3rd cup)
For Icing
- 200 ml Whipped cream (1 cup, before whipping)
- 20 gms Nutella (1 1/2 tbsp)
- Chocochips (as per choice)
- Mint leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- Start by creaming together butter and sugar till sugar dissolves and the butter is soft.
- Add Nutella and coffee decoction to it and whisk it well.
- Sift in the dry ingredients, Refined flour, Milk Powder, Cocoa Powder, Baking powder, and baking soda.
- Add milk gradually and fold it well using a spatula. NOTE: Use an electric beater and blend if you get any lumps.
- Add the batter into the pre-lined or pre-greased cake tin and bake at 170 degrees for 25-30 Mins.
- Remove, cool and demould cake carefully, add Nutella mixed whipped cream on top and make spirals.
- Add Choco chips and mint leaves for garnish. Done!!!
