A rainbow cake…. why though? Because it looks good, haha.
A super simple, clean naked rainbow cake, lots of colors full of vanilla and some whipped cream, yummm. As easy as it sounds it took me way too much time to make every layer individually. I wanted to keep it simple so I didn’t add any flavors to it, but maybe I’ll try that next time. It is a very basic cake. do try it……. A colorful Vanilla indulgence, enjoy!!!
Rainbow Cake
A colourful layered cake cherries and whipped cream
Ingredients
- 125 gms Unsalted Butter
- 125 gms Powdered sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 125 gms Milk powder
- 250 gms Refined Flour
- 1½ tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 Cup Milk
- Food colouring (As Per Choice)
Instructions
- Start by creaming together butter and sugar. Add vanilla extract to itand mix it well.
- Sift in all the dry ingredients, flour, milk powder, baking powder, baking soda.
- Keep adding milk gradually a fold into the batter till you get desired consistency.
- Now that the batter is ready, here comes the time-consuming part. Divide the batter into 5 batches, 1 of 2/3rd cup each and add food colouring of your choice to it.
- Add 1 colour batter each time in a pre-lined mould and bake at 170 degrees Celsius or 328 degree Fahrenheit for 9 mins. Remove, let it cool, demould and repeat the process again.
Notes
It is much easier if you have 2 same tins so you can keep one filled till another one is being baked. Little time consuming but so worth it, Happy Baking!!!
